Third Consecutive Gold for Canada’s Bourgojne at IPC World Cup

March 14, 2007 (Mount Washington, B.C.) – The world’s best ParaNordic skiers are competing at the final IPC World Cup of the season, in Mount Washington, B.C. Saskatoon’s Colette Bourgonje came away with her third consecutive gold medal Tuesday, this time in the women’s sit-ski biathlon long distance race.

“The skiing went very well today,” said Bourgonje. “I am very green in the shooting and don’t have much experience racing biathlon. If I were to decide to compete in this event at the 2010 Olympics, then I have a lot to learn before then. This was a good opportunity to get some more racing under my belt.”

Full results for the IPC World Cup will be posted later today on the event website here.
