U.S. Paralymics Nordic Skiing Nationals – Biathlon Sprint Results

January 04, 2015 (Soldier Hollow, Utah) – Soldier Hollow Resort hosted the U.S. Paralympics Nordic Skiing first event, the Biathlon Sprint competition, held on Jan. 3.  With clean shooting U.S. Paralympics National Team athletes Andy Soule and Dan Cnossen set the pace on the day, as Soule claimed the National Championship victory with Cnossen taking 2nd. Bryan Price hit the podium for the first time with just one miss on the range and fast skiing to take third.

“Today felt great and was  a great confidence builder for me as a tune up for our coming World Championships,” commented Soule. Cnossen added, “Great to be back on-snow and be with the Team again. Looking forward to move racing here in Utah!”

Canada’s Emily Weeks claimed the LW 2-9 Women’s 7.5km victory as the lone competitor while the USA’s Kenny Butler took the men’s race also the only competitor on the start line.

The Men’s Sit ski class was the only official National Championship event held on the day, with the other classes counting as IPC NorAm Continental Cup events.

XC Sprint race set for Sunday, and a Short Distance XC race set for Monday.
