May 21, 2012 (Bend, Oregon) – Yesterday we posted the news that Kris Freeman had taken the Elite Men’s crown besting defending champ Andrew Boone at the 36th annual U.S. Bank Pole Pedal Paddle in Bend where the team is training.

We found out later that Kikkan Randall, Jessie Diggins and Sadie Bjornsen’s Rebound / U.S. Ski Team won the Female 20-24 category – read Kikkan’s Rap – while Holly Brooks, Liz Stephen and Ida Sargent took the Female 25-29 – with teams the average age of all competitors decides your category.

According to Randall the scene was “…somewhat chaotic but fun.” With muliple sports and over 1,000 competitors in multiple categories including skiing, running, biking, and paddling it’s a feat in itself pulling of the event. But with a legacy of 36 years the PPP organizers can’t wait to do it all again.
