American Lowell Bailey finished 28th with four penalties yet also finished his season on a high note as he lead the North Americans in the final standings placing 19th overall up from 28th last year. Burke finished 25th overall as he couldn’t match last year’s performance when he was a career-best 10th overall.
No Canadians competed in the final Mass Start while Nathan Smith finished the season as the top Canuck in 32nd with teammate Brendan Green in 42nd. JP Le Guellec, who is retiring this season, finished 52nd overall.
Following Fourcade (928 points) in second was Norway’s Emil Hegle Svendsen with 636 points as Johannes Thingnes Boe also from Norway took third only five points back. Austria’s Landertinger finished fourth overall. Fourcade also took home the smaller World Cup globes for winning the Sprint, Pursuit and Mass Start titles as well – same as last year.
