March 30, 2011 (Sun Valley, ID) – USA top distance skier, Kris Freeman (US Ski Team/Waterville Valley) held off a posse of Canadians who  were chasing him down in the men’s 15km mass start classic to claim a solid victory over Drew Goldsack (Canada NST/AWCA) in second at 13.8s behind followed by U23 skier Kevin Sandau (Canada NST/AWCA) in third at 17.4s. Graeme Killick from Canmore Alberta, also a U23 skier, placed 4th coming in 3s later with American Tad Elliott (CXC) in fifth at 23.5 behind Freeman.
