February 7, 2009 (Zakopane, Poland) – The USA’s Sarah Hendrickson, 14, the youngest ever named to the US Ski Jumping team, has won her first ever Continental Cup Jumping event Saturday in Zakopane, Poland. Hendrickson led a slue of Americans and Nata De Leeuw from Canada who all recorded top ten finishes. The US put five women in the top 10, with three in the top four. Lindsey Van (USA) was 3rd, followed by her teammate Avery Ardovino in 4th. Abby Hughes (USA) was 6th. Canada’s De Leeuw placed 8th while Jessica Jerome (USA) rounded out the North American presence in 10th.
