October 8, 2009 – Reuters Canada has published an article detailing the deliberation of the Vancouver Organizing Committee (VANOC), over how to allow ticket reselling for the 2010 games on their web site. The committee is planning to launch a web site where individuals can sell unwanted tickets, but it has not decided yet whether to allow them to go for higher than face value. According to the article, VANOC is vigorously opposed to scalpers, but acknowledges that limiting the price of resold tickets on its web site will probably just drive business elsewhere.
