December 23, 2009 – Team New Brunswick is seeking experienced and enthusiastic volunteers to serve as Mission Staff members for the 2011 Canada Winter Games. As part of Team New Brunswick, you will play a lead role in supporting New Brunswick’s athletes as they strive for excellence at Canada’s premier national multi-sport event. The Games will be hosted in Halifax, NS February 11-27, 2011. Volunteer Mission Staff will contribute in a variety of ways and work to ensure that all aspects of Team New Brunswick’s preparation are in place.

Volunteer Mission Staff positions are available for application in the following areas:

– Sport Liaison
– Media and Communications
– Mission Office Support

Team New Brunswick is looking for skilled and experienced individuals who possess strong administration, communication and leadership skills including:

1. Significant experience within New Brunswick’s amateur sport system
2. Interest in and enthusiasm for working in a fast paced multi-sport environment
3. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
4. Willingness to perform functions and duties outside of your assignment
5. Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to provide excellent service to Team New Brunswick
6. Extensive and varied volunteer experience

Mission Staff must be available for pre-Games-related activities, and be prepared to attend the entire duration of the Games (February 11 – 27, 2011).
