November 14, 2010 – The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) is ready to impose 4-year doping bans but federations and national doping bodies are reluctant to follow suit. Most continue with the 2-year ban possibly because they’re worried that tougher penalties won’t stand up in court but WADA believes that two-year suspensions are too weak according to Associated Press.
