January 15, 2009 (Whistler, BC) – Beautiful sunshine greeted the world’s best skiers for a second day at the Whistler Olympic Park as they pre-skied the Classic sprint, and Pursuit courses the final day before the Canadian World Cup kicks off tomorrow Jan. 16. Nordic athletes from around the world have gathered for this pre-Olympic event from Jan. 16-18. In addition, the Nordic Combined World Cup begins two days of competition on Jan. 17-18. Whistler Olympic Park will get it’s first major test on it’s readiness to host the world for Vancouver 2010 just over one year from now.
