World Cup Final – Prologue

March 14, 2008 (Bormio/St. Caterina) – Pietro Piller Cottrer (Ita) took the win over Tord Asle Gjerdalen (Nor) in second and Martin Jaks (Cze) in third on Friday in the men’s 3.3km Free sprint prologue while Devon Kershaw (Can), the lone North American to race, finished 47th. In the women’s 2.5km Freestyle sprint it was Claudia Nystad (Ger) taking the win over Norway’s Astrid Jacobsen in second with Riitta-Liisa Roponen (Fin) in third. No North American women participated.
