September 23, 2012 (Oberhof, GER) – Katrin Zeller and Tobias Angerer won the individual start free technique roller skiing competition  held in Oberhof as part of the German central performance tests.

Zeller won the ladies’ competition over 10km with a clear gap of 13 seconds over her teammate Denise Herrmann. Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle finished in third place as the best biathlete at 40 seconds behind Zeller. Swiss biathletes Selina Gasparin and Andrea Henkel placed fourth and fifth respectively.

Following the start Angerer and Jens Filbrich skied together with Filbrich leading the way. But Angerer had a very fast last lap and opened up a gap on Filbirch which grew to 20 seconds at the finish. Sebastian Eisenlauer claimed third place ahead of Tim Tscharnke.
